impact potential: impact average score > 4 => 0,5 point / if > 4,15 => 1 point.
global consistency: all average score of the 6 selection criteria > 2,5 => 1 point.
the favourite: % of assessments judge the innovation as a top one to act on a global scale against greenhouse gases > 20% => 1 point
the targeting: validation of Team for the Planet scope of action higher than 90% => 0,5 point + innovation level of maturity is enough => 0,5 point
social acceptability: semantic analysis score of comments > 0 => 0,5 point/ if > 3500 => 1 point

What is the issue addressed?

ASEWA répond au problème d'accès aux énergies propres en milieu rural africain, qui freine le développement économique, génère 900 millions de TeqCO2/an par l'utilisation du charbon de bois pour la cuisson, cause 3,7 M de décès prématurés dus aux fumées toxiques et des millions d'hectares de déforestation.

How is the problem solved?

ASEWA est un programme d’électrification rurale axé sur le Nexus Eau, Énergie, Agriculture. Il permet l'accès aux énergies propres en structurant les communautés par le renforcement de capacité agricole, l'amélioration de leurs pratiques environnementales et la création d'un écosystème durable.

What is the customer target?

Les bénéficiaires sont les communautés rurales d'Afrique de l'ouest non connectées au réseau public d'électricité. Elles sont le plus souvent en situation de vulnérabilité face au changement climatique.

How is this solution different?

ASEWA a une vision holistique basée sur le Nexus Eau, Energie, Agriculture. Il permet de rendre viable économiquement des populations cibles qui sont considérées habituellement comme à risque pour les développeurs de projets énergétiques. La mise à l'échelle via l'investissement est alors possible contrairement aux mécanismes habituels basés sur des subventions limitant la duplication des projets.
